Standard Package
6 month minimum commitment
The Standard Package lets you get excellent coaching and choose any add-ons in which you want to participate.
INITIAL CONSULTATION
Your coach will contact you to introduce themselves, outline the program, and explain the services offered. You will get a background questionnaire to complete.
ATHLETE PROFILE REVIEW
Your coach will review the Athlete Questionnaire that you filled out at the beginning of the program. Your coach will gain an understanding of your past athletic and medical history, fitness and competitive history, current and future race goals, and your strengths and weaknesses as an athlete.
PHONE CONSULTATION
Your coach will call and get to know you as a person and vice versa. This will allow you and your coach to form a partnership. You will have an opportunity to discuss race goals, ask questions, and get to know the software that will be used to transmit the planned workouts, log your actual workouts, and analyze your progress. These typically last 30 to 45 minutes.
ACCESS TO DISCOUNTS

HR AND POWER ZONES
These will be established and updated on an as needed basis throughout the season. If you are in the NE Ohio area, your coach will be available to initially put you through these tests in person.
WEEKLY WORKOUT PLANS
Athletes will receive a personalized and customized workout plan on a weekly basis from their coach. The plan will take into account your race goals and build your fitness to reach them. The plan will detail the amount of time spent each week, workouts for each day, and what type of workout each is (endurance, strength, etc). Your sport specific workouts as well as strength, core, and conditioning workouts will be detailed for you.
UNLIMITED EMAIL COMMUNICATION
Your coach will be available to answer email questions. You will be able to initiate a question to your coach at any time and receive a reply.
This level of coaching is customized to the age group athlete where they can choose excellent customized coaching but pick and choose what additional equipment and clinics they want to utilize.

ALL ATHLETES IN THE SAN LUIS OBISPO, CA AREA WILL RECEIVE IN PERSON CONTACT WITH YOUR COACH DURING THE STARTUP PHASE AND PERIODICALLY DURING THE SEASON. ALL OTHER ATHLETES WILL BE CONTACTED VIA PHONE, EMAIL, OR SKYPE.
Required Equipment
All athletes are required to have a GPS unit and a heart rate monitor. A power meter is highly recommended.

We believe in using technology and personal feedback to fuel our individualized coaching of our athletes. We adhere to quality over quantity. You won't find garbage miles on your training plan. Everything has a reason and that is to maximize your fitness and racing skills!
About Coach Tim Edwards
Coach Tim has been in the endurance sports world since he was in junior high school. Originally a native of Cleveland, Ohio he drove West till he couldn't drive any farther and settled in San Luis Obispo. A competitive high school swimmer and runner, he discovered cycling at the University of Dayton (Go Flyers!) and raced himself into the elite level. He won several state championships in MTB and Track cycling, a couple of time trial national podiums, and raced for many years. He started helping out other cyclists and became the head coach of the Case Western Reserve University Cycling Team. As he and his wife Karen decided it was time to start a family, he discovered triathlon. He once again worked hard and ended up racing at the elite amateur level as well, qualifying for Team USA for World Triathlon Championships. He coached the University of Dayton Triathlon Team, the Cleveland State University Triathlon team, the Cleveland Triathlon Club, and started North Coast Endurance Coaching. He has now expanded the business to the Pacific coast with West Coast Endurance Coaching in SLO. He is a well educated coach with a couple decades of experience in all disciplines of cycling and triathlon. He holds coaching certifications from USA Triathlon, USA Cycling, American Swim Coaches Association, Australian Swim Coaches Association, and Training Peaks.
